( hold on, he's - shoving the last bit of his sandwich into his mouth, and brushing his hands off against his legs to remove any crumbs. )

If he is similar to the one from my universe, his obsession with the Flash makes him dangerous, but containable. If the Flash were to disappear, we would lose the one element keeping him from becoming a loose cannon who could, without remorse or pause, kill nearly every living creature within this containment field before you or I even had the opportunity to blink. My father had contingency plans for keeping them in line if necessary, but they mostly relied on others. And with speedsters, they think as fast as they move. You may be able to use a move once, but it won't work again. They'll recognize what you're going for the moment you start toward it.

( he ripped up damian's bat and damian's mad about it. )

( he stands there and listens. mulls over everything damian tells him before he slowly starts towards the ledge there near damian. stares off towards the skyline. )

Confinement could work, if he needs the space to move around. I imagine extreme cold would as well with slowing the body down naturally. If he needs to see where he's going, blinding him could work in a pinch.

[brat]

He doesn't need space. The Reverse-Flash can vibrate through most containment fields, and needing to see where he's going isn't required. He also heals significantly quicker than average humans.

( but they're all good starting points, especially for one who just became aware of the existence of speedsters. )

S.T.A.R labs is not quite what I am accustomed to, but it may have resources we could use. The Flash would be a good starting point. Superman may be capable of keeping up with him. But it would be best to ensure we are prepared for the potential we may have to fight him without outside assistance.

( everyone has a weakness, damian, and he stands by his thoughts. )

I'm guessing you're going to take care of that?

[brat]

No. ( his nose scrunches up, as if he hates the thought of just - leaving it like that. but. ) Not yet. Given the timing of when missions have been occurring, I need to use this time to ensure I am ready for the next one.

I'll leave preparing for the Reverse Flash to you.

( slowly, he looks over to damian there. )

I'm not the best suited for that and you know it.

[brat]

You're Batman.

( this is a weakness bruce will need to overcome at some point. )

Out of an abundance of caution, I will be temporarily suspending my activities as Robin.

[batsymbol]

( he gives damian a look at that. )

Why?

[brat]

I'm wounded.

( obviously. damian twists around, so he's more facing bruce than shinra headquarters. )

Not terribly. But I wasn't able to fend off the Reverse Flash while I was at my best, I won't be able to now if he opts to go for a recognizable target, and I don't want to hinder my healing. Especially if the next mission is anything like the last three.

( the level of concern there on his face... it's been awhile since the plush incident beneath the tower. )

What happened?

[brat]

It was an accident and not one that is worth revisiting.

( the surface scratches to his face were nothing. this is close to nothing; damian's hardly concerned over it. if anything big did happen, he would immediately suit back up to lend a hand. in the meantime, he can use the downtime to rest, and encourage bruce to be less--secluded. )

I'm managing fine on my own.

[batsymbol]

( eyeing damian, he's not so sure he believes him, but. he also doesn't seem to be too hindered by whatever injuries he has. still. )

You need to be more careful.

[brat]

My ability to weigh risk versus reward of any circumstance is far better than yours.

( he looks mildly offended at bruce telling him to be more careful. as if bruce isn't batman. as if he doesn't walk into the spray of bullets on a daily basis like it's nothing. )

If I could go back in time and repeat the moment it occurred, I would do the same thing, the exact same way, every time. I do not regret my decision. And I am taking care of it.

( after a long pause of silence, gazing off towards the skyline again, he looks to damian. jaw tight. )

Fine. Is that all you came to tell me?

[brat]

No.

( well. yes actually. but now that he's here, )

I'm thirsty, I miss my team, and there is a vampire living on the roof over there.

( with a hand pointing to shinra headquarters.

vincent isn't currently up there, but he often is. )

( a slow glance over to where damian points, he stares. looks back to damian. then slowly turns to make his way back towards inside. hands in pockets still. )

I have a few things to drink and I'll be sure to string up some garlic.

( that last part is said a little dryly, yeah. )

[brat]

He's been there since the buildings appeared. I haven't discerned his intentions yet.

( but damian is pulling himself up to his feet, and moving to let himself into the tower. )

[batsymbol]

I'm sure you'll figure it out.

( making sure to leave the door open for damian, he heads back down inside the tower for the penthouse. intending to get damian something to drink since he's thirsty and all. )

[brat]

I haven't seen him over there in. . . some time. But I know he is still here. Somewhere.

( he'll find you, rooftop vampire. despite saying he's wounded, damian walks as steadily as he always had as he follows a few steps behind bruce. )

[batsymbol]

You sound a little fixated.

( heading for the kitchen once they're in the penthouse, he grabs a couple bottles out of the fridge. water, soda, apple juice. he doesn't stock these for himself. he keeps them in case damian stops by— well. the water is his, sure. but, he sets them out on the counter, letting damian take his pick of what he wants. )

[brat]

( he doesn't drink soda frequently, but he does reach for the apple juice. unscrews the lid and like the little gremlin he is - drinks straight from the container. )

We'd been conversing for quite some time. ( just without words. sometimes damian throws a batarang towards him, and the 'vampire' tosses it back harmlessly. it's kept him busy, and the lack of his presence is a little off-putting. )

This is how you make friends...

( muttered more to himself than to damian as he slowly opens the water for himself and takes a long sip from it, gently leaning there against the counter as he does. )

Are you letting Dick know about this Reverse-Flash business?

[brat]

( the domino mask gets slowly peeled off his face and set down on the counter beside the bottle of apple juice. while he - considers how he wants to answer that. )

I told Oracle. The information will be dispensed.

[batsymbol]

( hm. )

Are you mad at him about something?

[brat]

No.

( his mouth twists into a scowl, one that most would expect to find on bruce's face, not damian's. )

Oracle has the network. There's no need for both of us to tell everyone.
