It's not a birthday of significance. My tenth and thirteenth were as far as the other half of my birth family is concerned. Thirteen is when one becomes a man.

( birthdays used to signify when he would test his abilities against his mother. when they would spar, so damian could fight for the right to meet his father. birthdays now are met with cakes baked by alfred and candles to blow out.
