[Jason furrows his brows as he looks up from the ground.]

( Doesn’t make it any less true for him, though. )

Ditto, though. About getting to know you. You’ve given me a lot more chances than anyone else has.

[His own Bruce included.]

( Despite his reservations about being around Bruce Wayne, if even a different one. )

Well, you’re a lot easier to be around than my Bruce. He always preferred Dick.

[Jason tries to shrug that sentiment off.]

I don't have any of you in my Gotham.

( Whether or not they exist, well. He doesn't know yet. )

It's just me and Alfred. ( A beat. ) Gordon, too.

Alfred? [Jason perks up just a little.] I miss Alfred.

( It's said fondly albeit sadly. )

Do you need anything right now?

You eat anything yet?

[Since Jason came to the tower fed only by his anger.]

( Whenever that was. )

There's a few things in the kitchen.

( He'd maybe made a small effort to ensure things were around. If not for him, then for Jason, anyways. )

[Jason strolls over to the kitchen and opens the fridge and he sees all the healthy food before his gaze lasers in on hot dogs that Jason himself had brought home one day.

He pulls it out of the fridge and grins.] You ever cook one of these bad boys over a gas burner?

[batsymbol]

( Bruce Wayne and cook in the same sentence... do you even know him, Jason? )

No. ( A beat. ) Is that how you do it?

( Is he asking how Jason does it or in general how you do it? Who knows. )

Oh it's the best way to do it.

[Jason opens the package and then opens a couple drawers before he finds two forks. He spears a hotdog on each one before he makes his way back over to the stove.]

Well, best way outside of a campfire.

( He lets Jason do what he needs to do with this and watches with a careful eye. Not because he doesn't trust him, but because he's never seen this done before. Yes, the perils of having grown up sheltered and rich. )

You do marshmallows like this, too?

[The bonuses of growing up on the streets before moving into a shmaltzy mansion.]

( There's no judgement from him, just consideration as he stands there — looks around the kitchen and then back to Jason. )

I don't even know if I have a grill anyways...

( Now that he thinks about it. )

[Jason rotates the hot dogs over the open flame as he watches Bruce.]

You don’t even have a gril?

I... don't think so.

( Honestly, he has no idea. He doesn't exactly cook. )

Huh. You’ve never lived without Alfred have you?

[Jason rotates the hotdog again.]

[batsymbol]

( At that, he drops his gaze. )

No. Being here is… the first I’ve been without him.

( And that’s now extended to over a year. )

[copsormasks]

[Jason pulls the hot dogs off the burner and turns off the fire. He sets them on a plate and holds one out to Bruce.]

Sorry. That really sucks.

[batsymbol]

Yeah. I know.

( Taking the plate, he stares down to it then before he looks back up to Jason. )

I don't think I have buns for these.

[copsormasks]

All good. We just eat them right off the fork. [Jason scoops up a fork he designates as his before biting off the end of the hot dog.]

[batsymbol]

( Off the fork... hm. He eyes Jason doing such a thing for a moment before he goes and helps himself to doing the same. It's not that he's a snob about it, it's just... he's never really been one to eat hot dogs in the first place. Although, with having been here on his own more or less for the past year and some months, he hasn't exactly been dining and wining in the ways Alfred might see to it. )

When the suit's finished, I'm going to get you to test it out.
